Welcome to the WIGML Vibe Check, our totally professional, extremely scientific, and highly unserious way of rating Melbourne’s date night spots. Forget boring five-star systems — ours is all about the vibes, the chemistry, and how well the place sets the mood (whatever that means to you).

How It Works

Every venue we review gets a rating based on our completely subjective experience. We’re looking at:

✅ Vibes – Is this a place that makes you want to lean in a little closer? Or does it scream “group hang with your coworkers”?

✅ Conversation Flow – Will the atmosphere encourage deep chats and flirting, or will you be shouting over a DJ set that no one asked for?

✅ Confidence Boost – Are you walking in feeling like a 6 but leaving like a solid 9? That matters.

✅ Cocktail Compatibility – Because let’s be real, a good drink (or three) can do wonders for a date (if you need the liquid courage, stay safe y’all).

✅ The X-Factor – Something about this place just works. Or it doesn’t. And we’ll tell you why.
